Guides / sizes & framing
A simple guide to choosing your wall art.
The best size is the one that gives the artwork enough room to breathe while still belonging to the furniture and wall around it.

Choose a way in ↘Measure the furniture
Use the width of the bed, sofa or console below the art as your first guide to scale.
See the ruleKeep the format
Choose a listed size within the artwork's portrait, square or landscape family rather than forcing a crop.

Choose black, oak, white or unframed depending on the feeling and furniture already in your room.
Compare finishes01 / Start with the wall
Measure the furniture first.
Above a bedside table or narrow console, a portrait format usually feels balanced. Above a sofa or sideboard, choose a larger piece or pair two works so the art relates to the width of the furniture below it.
- Leave a little breathing room either side of the furniture.
- For a single piece, let the artwork relate to the centre of what sits below it.
- If you are unsure, tape the outer dimensions on the wall before ordering.
02 / Follow the format
Keep the artwork's proportions in mind.
Each product lists its master format and available sizes. Choose a size within that family rather than forcing a portrait artwork into a wide frame. The image on a product page is one standard presentation size; another size can look different on the wall.
- Portrait formats suit bedside tables, narrow walls and vertical spaces.
- Square formats create a steadier, more graphic block.
- Use the exact dimensions shown at checkout when planning the space.
03 / Choose the finish
Frame it, or let your own frame lead.
Black creates contrast, oak adds warmth and white keeps a gallery wall light. An unframed print gives you the most flexibility, especially if you already have a mount or want to match an existing frame.
- Choose framed when you want it ready to hang.
- Choose unframed when you already have a frame or want a custom mount.
- Paper finish is chosen on the product page alongside size and frame.
